X01 rules in brief

X01 games start at a set score — usually 501 or 301 — and both players race to reach exactly zero.

  • Each player starts on the same score (501 or 301) and subtracts every dart thrown.
  • You must finish on exactly zero, with the last dart landing in a double (double-out).
  • Going below two, to one, or below zero is a 'bust' — the turn doesn't count and the score resets.
  • A treble counts triple and the bullseye is worth 50, so big scoring shortens the leg.
